NOTICE: Upcoming Groups to be Offered!
I am pleased to announce that in the coming months, the following two new groups will be offered:
Pregnancy and Postpartum Anxiety: How to Keep Calm and Carry On
Do you find yourself flooded with worries and concerns about the health and well-being of your new baby? Do you find it difficult to eat, sleep or manage day-to-day activities because you are constantly checking on, stressing about, or worrying about the newest member of your family? If you are expecting a new baby, or have had a baby within the last 12 months and find yourself overwhelmed with worries, thoughts and feelings, many of which you likely didn’t expect to have, then this group may be for you. Designed to help new mothers recognize the signs and symptoms of postpartum anxiety, this group will teach participants about the nature of anxiety, how it differs postpartum compared to other types of anxiety, and how to regain control of your thoughts and worries so you can get back to feeling like yourself again and enjoy your new life.

Memory Matters for Seniors – FREE information sessions
Are you a community dwelling senior who is worried that your memory is “not what it used to be”? Do you have concerns that you are forgetting things or making memory mistakes “more than you should”? Would you like to be able to remember the names of new people you meet, or be able to remember phone numbers or items on your grocery list with greater ease? If so, then this group may be for you.
The Memory Matters for Seniors Workshop is a 5-week program that teaches participants about how memory works, the natural changes to memory that occur with aging, what is “normal” forgetting and when to be concerned. Each week new strategies and techniques will be taught to help participants support and boost their memory without always having to rely on reminders.
This group is co-lead by two experienced psychotherapists (Kristen Kaploun, PhD., CPsych, and Marleen Filimon, BSc., MSc.) and will meet weekly for 5 weeks; each session is 2 hours in length.
If you’d like to meet the facilitators and learn more about this group and the topics that will be covered, then join us for a FREE one hour information session on Wednesday, February 18th or Wednesday February 25th at 10 am.
Location: 440 Elizabeth Street, Unit 105, Burlington
Please register with Kristen (289.983.7570) or with Marleen (905.681.7359) as seating is limited. You can also email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or any questions.
