Dr. Kristen Kaploun

Neuropsychologist and Clinical Psychologist

Welcome to Dr. Kaploun’s Office

My name is Dr. Kristen Kaploun and I am a Neuropsychologist and Clinical Psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO). As part of my practice, I conduct a variety of assessment services, including neuropsychological, baseline cognitive, psycho-educational/psycho-vocational, medical-legal, insurer examinations, and specialty assessments, all of which are geared towards evaluating an individual’s level of cognitive, emotional and behavioural functioning.  I also provide psychotherapy, offering treatment in the form of individual and group Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness to help individuals struggling with anxiety and anxiety-related issues, including insomnia and various other psychological concerns. I have particular interest and experience in treating prenatal and postpartum anxiety (i.e., perinatal anxiety) and offer a specialized treatment program, the Perinatal Anxiety Treatment Program (PAT Program) for new and expectant mothers struggling with perinatal anxiety.

Notice re: COVID-19 and Treatment Options

With the onset of the COVID-19, many of the health offices and resources upon which we rely have temporarily shut down in order to protect the health and safety of the community. In these uncertain times, one thing you should not have to worry about is access to quality mental health support. The mental health and well-being of you and your loved ones is of utmost importance to me. For that reason, I am pleased to share that all treatment sessions can be provided by telephone or videoconferencing.

Together, we will get through this.

Stay safe, and keep well!

Sincerely,
Kristen
