Neuropsychological Assessments

A Neuropsychological Assessment is a specialized and comprehensive evaluation of brain-behaviour relationships. By examining cognitive and emotional functioning, a neuropsychological assessment can help to identify areas of strength and weakness, track progress and recovery following injury, and assist in the development of an individualized treatment plan. Areas of functioning that can be evaluated in such assessments include attention, concentration, language, memory, executive functioning, psycho-emotional functioning, processing speed, academic achievement, and overall intellectual ability.
Such assessments are particularly helpful for determining cognitive and psychological function following:

• Concussion
• Stroke and TIA
• Neurodegenerative processes (e.g., Parkinson’s, MS)
• Dementia
• Mild and major cognitive impairment
• And other factors leading to changes in thinking skills, behaviour, personality, or emotional functioning

We offer neuropsychological assessments for adults 18+ and seniors only.
